A Guide To GPS Navigation Systems
GPS, short for Global Positioning System, is a technology by which GPS receivers can be constantly tracked via numerous satellites in orbit around the earth. How It Works
GPS works by using at least 3 satellites at any one time to locate the receiver. The Types of Sat Nav
There are three major types of GPS system, all of which are particularly useful in different ways and more suitable for different purposes and users.

In Car: Sat Nav systems are essentially in-built features in certain cars. They tend to be integrated into the car`s entertainment system and are thus usually larger and less compact than other types of GPS system.
